For FareHarbor Tour & Activity Operators
When a guest can't make their booking, TourClaim files a claim through their credit card's travel protection so they get reimbursed by their bank, not by you. No refund. No chargeback.
*Applies to guests with supported credit cards and eligible cancellation reasons.
"Our flight got cancelled, so we never made it. Please refund the tour."
"The ferry was delayed 90 minutes, we missed the excursion. Can you just reverse the charge?"
"I tested positive for strep last night. I need a refund."
These guests have credit cards that cover exactly this. TourClaim helps them use those benefits, so you don't have to eat the cost.
A guest can't make their tour. Instead of refunding them, you send a TourClaim link.
TourClaim checks the guest's credit card benefits and files a travel insurance claim for them.
The guest gets reimbursed by their bank. You keep the full booking revenue. No chargeback.
A leading tour operator activated TourClaim and tracked the impact over six months. Dispute rates dropped, revenue stayed, and staff spent less time on cancellation paperwork.

TourClaim connects to the FareHarbor API and scans your manifests every night. No-show guests are automatically emailed with a way to recover their money through their credit card’s travel protection — no staff action required.
Every night at 10 PM in your local timezone, TourClaim pulls your FareHarbor manifests from the last three days and identifies no-show bookings.
A no-show guest who got sick and lost their money is a one-star TripAdvisor review waiting to happen. TourClaim reaches out and gives them a path to get reimbursed through their credit card. That angry guest becomes a grateful one.
Set it and forget it. Once you connect your FareHarbor API key, the nightly scan runs automatically. Claim status is written back to your FareHarbor booking notes so your ops team stays in the loop without learning a new tool.

No, and we're upfront about that. TourClaim only works for guests whose credit card includes travel protection benefits. Debit cards, prepaid cards, and basic credit cards typically don't have these benefits. That said, roughly 25% of cards in circulation do carry travel protection, so for a meaningful slice of your cancellations, there's a path to keeping the revenue you'd otherwise lose.
Most premium credit cards include travel protection that covers trip cancellations due to illness, weather, flight issues, and more. The guest's bank reimburses them directly. TourClaim handles the paperwork to make that happen. You keep the booking revenue.
Nothing changes. You keep your existing policy. Instead of issuing a refund when a guest has a covered reason, you send them a TourClaim link. They get reimbursed by their bank, not by you.
When a guest can't make their trip, they often file a chargeback as a last resort. TourClaim gives them a better option: a real claim through their card's travel protection. They get their money back without disputing the charge with you.
We currently support Chase, American Express, and Bank of America cards with travel protection benefits. We're constantly adding new card issuers and benefit types.
